Comets are balls of frozen gas, dust, and rock that orbit the Sun.
A comet has 3 parts a nucleus, a coma, and a tail. The nucleus is at the center of a comet and it is in solid form. The fuzzy cloud around the nucleus is called a coma.
A comet generally has only its nucleus but when the comet comes close to the Sun, the sun’s heat warms the comet and makes it release gases and dust. This produces coma and tail.
Comets orbit around the Sun in very long elliptical orbits. Over time, a comet loses its material and may disintegrate completely.
